NIT Jalandhar

Established in the year 1987, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology provides education at the undergraduate, doctoral and postgraduate level in the fields of science, technology and engineering. Presently, as per the central government, this institute is named as “Institute of National Importance”. NITJ has over 12 different academic departments, which includes the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Physics and Department of Civil Engineering. Furthermore, this institute also offers PG Diploma courses in various fields of engineering, including chemical engineering, industrial engineering, thermal engineering and design engineering. On 17th October 2002, the central government gave this institute the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University).

the Institute offers BTech, MTech, MSc, MBA and PhD programmes in the several disciplines of Engineering, Technology and Sciences.
