Hotel Bhagsu

Location The Bhagsu is located at McLeodganj in Dharamshala.The Bhagsu hotel, a HPTDC undertaking. The Bhagsu is the first hotel of McLeodganj and was started way back in 1979. It is beautiful property abundant with raw green trees, soft grass, beautiful stone pathway, white benches in the lawn, matching fences and an old stone building – a picture perfect country house. The pathways laced with beautiful bright flowers of all shapes and sizes forms a tone of spring at all times. The reception is huge and is adorned with sofa couches on the right and the reception counter on the left. In front is a staircase leading to the rooms. Rooms The 20 rooms in the hotel are divided into Super Deluxe or Luxury rooms, Deluxe rooms, Semi Deluxe rooms and Regular or Standard rooms. The Super Deluxe or Luxury room is the highest category of room and is a big rectangle shaped room with carpeted floor and facilities such as a double bed, a sofa unit, dressing table cum study desk, cupboard, luggage rack, satellite television and telephone/intercom. The best part about this room is that though all the facilities are housed in one room, it does not look or feel stuffy. The bathroom is pleasantly big and spacious and has a shower area with hot and cold water supply, soap, shampoo and towel. The Deluxe room is a compact room with carpeted floor with amenities such as double bed, a seating area, dressing table cum study desk, cupboard, luggage rack, satellite television and telephone/intercom. The bathroom is standard with a shower cubicle and with amenities such as hot and cold water supply, soap, shampoo and towel. The Semi Deluxe room is similar to the Deluxe room, the only difference being in the furniture. The Deluxe room has more modern furniture than the Semi Deluxe room. The Regular or Standard room is a small room with carpeted floor and basic amenities such as a double bed, a small television, intercom, two sofa chairs, cupboard and a luggage rack. The bathroom is basic too and has a shower area with hot and cold water supply, soap, shampoo and towel. Please note that room heaters are provided at an extra cost. Dining The hotel has a huge restaurant cum beer bar with a seating a capacity of 100 persons. The place has tables and chairs neatly arranged and a buffet table in a corner. The restaurant serves a range of delicious cuisines like Indian, Chinese and local Himachali food. Guests can enjoy their beer in the restaurant or in the immense space in the lawn.
